The International Council, Una Cita Con Dios (UCCD), is a nonprofit Christian organization founded in the year 1994 by the Reverend, Jose Luis Soto.
We put a lot of effort into helping communities in need, in a way that preserves and celebrates their rich cultures. All of our projects are operated by trusted local community leaders, who are connected with their community and are aware of their needs, history and culture. Since our leaders come from these communities, they pay special attention to every necessity (from food, to education) to preserve, grow and celebrate the culture of each community.
UCCD’s focus is on VERTICAL HELP, which is rooted deeply within the community and produces permanent changes. VERTICAL HELP, operates as an active expression of the transforming love of Christ; in doing so, we reach out to the forgotten communities that are in great need, to inspire, empower, and guide them away from poverty. We provide programs that target existing problems, and that interrupt the suffering that is passed on from generation to generation.
